I Feel Sick

I wish I could blame Big Guy's speaking errors on me, since I'm a big enough hard drive to take the heat, but when he won't even effort the pretense of using me, then what am I supposed to do?

Come on folks, let's be clear: does Big Guy look like someone who knows the difference between the Medal of Freedom and the Medal of Honor?  And his staff?  They'd have him vote "present" for one if he were still in the Senate, and they'd stall on the review for the other, especially if it involved a brave soul in Afghanistan.

But the reason I wasn't out there to save the Administration from further embarrassment earlier this week at the Department of the Interior was because I haven't been feeling well.  I don't fall into one of the priority groups for the H1N1 vaccine, and I probably couldn't find a shot of the stuff if my life depended on it. After all, most normal folks are going in to the gray market to buy shots for their kids, since Bruno and HHS Secretary Sebelius screwed the pooch on planning for the vaccine roll out.

So my hard drive has been overheating a bit, and I think I've caught a bit of a virus.  Oh, and my Twitter account seems to have caught the same bug, so apologies over there for that. We're working on it.

But Big Guy says we'll all feel a bit better after Congress passes the health care reform package, and after he makes his announcement about his Afghanistan plans, which our media guys think should be made on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, I don't think most folks inside the White House would get the irony, though most of America would get the joke.

  1. TOTUS, it's just a seasonal virus; run your virus programs (might get eSet just to be sure), stay offline, and follow the virus programs advice.

do not get online too early, even if you're feeling better.

the country needs you well and on your treads.

  4. I knew that you did not scroll for HIM at the Dept of the Indians on Thursday. I thought he was doing a version of MY Pet Goat, Redux - until finally after a shout out to Sitting Bull, he mentioned the terrorist attack at Ft Hood.
Bless your heart. (You did sneeze, no?)

Okay, for you, MRS, and for Jamie, who are so loving to encourage me, I will keep posting here.
    *sob*

And thank you, MRS1953, for posting that information about and from Melena. I've held myself to blame for Melena's leaving, as have most FOTs, all these months. I am crying with relief. Bless you for letting me know this.

I know most FOTs will help Melena with our last BREATH to fight all the trolls who dare trying hurting her----so please, if she doesn't own a computer, encourage her to hie herself to the library every now and then and REJOIN us!
    :->

Finally, I am extremely upset also (with all America) about the murders over the past two days. I went to the website you referenced, Mrs., and wept so hard. Their stories are all very moving, and their deaths so unnecessary!

Where is a safe haven for anyone, if even our military heroes aren't kept safe on their bases? I hope the military completely changes its procedures for managing the MUSLIM soldiers (yes, I agree we need to state that, since it's TRUE) who reject our nation's mission vs. terrorism.

Imagine: if this nutjob had been yanked MONTHS ago from working with our beloved troops, all those people would be pain-free or alive today!

Time to institute a better way of reporting and addressing "conflicted" Muslim soldiers' faith, so they don't turn on our troops.

  7. Hey TOTUS:
Since Big Guy got rid of all the calculators and makes his staff count on their fingers, it makes perfect sense to announce his plans on Wednesday. See, he's the 44th president. And the 11th day of the 11th month of the year 09, all added up equals 31.

I hope you start feeling better very soon. Because I tried to watch a video of the Messiah in his weekly address, and were ya'll joshing or something on the side? Because he looks like he's trying not to laugh. Finally, I yelled at him. I cannot repeat here what, suffice to say that my doggie went running. Anyway, I hope you feel better so that you can help Big Guy to concentrate better on the subject. That, or maybe they can get him in some acting classes to help get that purple smirk off his lips.

  10. Yipes!

Listen up, FOTs: a company is suing a woman for $50,000 because the company states she unfairly slandered it on a TWEET!

Fox News just said that whatever people post online, or send via email, are PUBLISHED materials, and thus we can be sued for their content (ie. they said it's NOT like simply sending letters privately). Ack!

  13. Of course I wept and sobbed, bettyann. I only used 6 or 7 Puffs Plus, instead of a box (nice snark, btw), but of course I wept.
    I don't lie.

I hope most Americans grieve about this tragedy, in their own way: weeping, or venting; whatever. Then I hope we think of ways to prevent such shootings.

I, too, wept at the report; who wouldn't? A few tissures or a box, what does it matter? Grief is grief; why make fun of it?

We all have hearts and sensitivies, some more than others.

  19. does Big Guy look like someone who knows the difference between the Medal of Freedom and the Medal of Honor?

nor a bag of Gold Medal flour

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not fun, MRS1953. Simply pointing out that honor is due, with awe and a grave averting of the eyes in deep respect for privacy. To lightly make of your own grief when soldier's families at this moment reel under horror is as a frivilous self indulgence.

Brevity is the soul of wit. If you do not have thick skin stay off the blogs. I am not responsible to MM's feelings, nor anyone else to mine. Here we spar with words, practice our wit, hone our communications skills. It is a good learning sphere. It is not a place to blather regarding religious beliefs in the certainty that all agree. Religious beliefs are private matters. Blessings are good, a scripture or two well said is beautiful. But I do not want to know about everyone's prayer life. I want to hear dirt about Obama and Michelle. And I want to add my own dirty two cents worth with yours.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was not aware you owned this Blog, bettyann; therefore, I will not stay off of it.

Religion is the strong backbone of our country; if you don't like it, then just ignore that part of the post. You need not attack it.

if you want dirt, try THE ENQUIRER or GLOBE; here, most of us voice our dissention and disgust with BObastrd and his cohorts.

As I grant you the right to post what you feel, so I think you should return the favor.

    or don't...

It's up to you. We'll either read it or not; and respond or not.

but you have the right to post.

  22. Your Guy didn't seem to have much of a problem being a chattering nabob giving shout outs and howdy do's to his Native American friends. It was only when he had to pretend to care about the troops that he stumbled. Freudian slip.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's because BObastard despises America's military and can't say anything supportive of it until someone else writes it down for him.

  24. Have you guys heard that George and Laura Bush paid a visit to the wounded on Friday night. He told the post commander that he wanted to keep it secret and didn't want it turned into a photo op. They were there for several hours and spoke to the injured and their families. He was always supportive of the military, just as a Commander in Chief should be.

And BO can't seem to find the time to go there until TUESDAY, and you can bet it will be a photo op. The jerk!

TOTUS, are you sure someone didn't load some spyware or tracking cookies on your hard drive while you were napping? Either can cause you to feel sluggish. Just ask MY desktop!

  25. Dear MRS1953:
You misunderstand. All blogs evolve. Thin skinned people get offended. Please note I wrote in the plural, "blogs". Meaning to write to strangers on the net. Also, I did not attack religion. You may have noted that I am also a person of faith. Please also note that there are many faiths in this country. Not just the fundamental Protestant Christian sort. To assume, because one posts with agreeing conservatives, that no one will be offended by references to Jesus as God, or omnipotent, as MM often does, is simply vain.

When I referred to "dirt", it was an effort at lightening the post, in which I obviously failed, and I apologize.

TOTUS deserves intelligence on this blog. Often this blog is in the news. People of all sorts read this blog. Our detractors have a stereo type of the conservative which they use to denigrate our views. When the curious come here and read, do they see the stereo type, or do they read an intelligent post. A witty post. A post of exquisite humor? Hopefully, and actually that is often the case. But when they read instead long sermons, professions of tears, and gushing sentiment - an unseemly display - it detracts from our truth.

That is my view, and hopefully raising the bar of quality posts is why I am being verbal about it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Jamie-yes I did notice that. In fact when they showed a local feed of a flag memorial at Hood, I noticed a man in civilian guard, praying with hands over his face surrounded by military personnel. I knew it was President Bush. According to sources he went down there and visited the injured, offered any assistance and showed up to support them. Imagine that, a Leader showing up to support his troops in a time of tragedy rather than gladhanding at Capitol Hill. Great priorities there Barry.

  27. Well, they just passed the damnable Health Care bill in the House and now the Dems are crowing about it. Pelosi, with her grinning cadaver face. Rangel, the tax cheat con artist. They are all pomous asses.

They make me sick. ALL OF THEM.

I had to turn off the tv before I threw something at it! Poor little Toto ran and hid under the bed. He thought I was yelling at him.

And, of course, they had one Republican to vote for it. I wonder what they promised him in return for his vote? Loads of pork, I imagine. Or could it be campaign cash? They say this guy (from Louisiana) is in a "democrat leaning" district and is in a vulnerable position for next year. (If he wasn't before he voted, he should be now.)

I'm sure that the guy is probably just another "moderate" (i.e. RINO) that they supported just to get another "R" in the House. Its "all politics, all the time". The leaders of the Republican Party had better not endorse him again next year or send him any MORE money. I can't threaten them with not sending money because I'm already doing that.

    We are so screwed.

I don't know if we can hold out until 2010. By then, they will have passed so much crap that we might never be able to dig out from under it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oops. that's POMPOUS asses. not pomous.

  29. Jamie, thank you for sharing that moving picture of President George W. Bush, a real Commander in Chief, comforting our soldiers. He really cares.

That was (IMO), God. God made sure ol' Dope's HITLER-SIZED ego kept him away. B. Hussein (that MARXIST MUSLIM FROM INDONESIA BORN IN KENYA)'s disdainful presence would (and will) only add insult to injury.

"TAXERS"!! Amazing -- and pre-cise-ly the right "word."

But for Anh the RINO from LA and 5 others, we would not be on the brink of seeing the devastation of the best health care system in the world.

    Rats!!!!

  32. I would like everyone to know that I enjoy the postings on this blog quite a bit. I seldom contribute, as usually someone else has said something much more eloquently than I could. I enjoy the personal comments about religion, motorcycles, and family matters. Helps me to remember that all of you are real-life people, and not just some Eliza program spouting out words.

It would appear that the "regulars" here are mostly those from the more mature age groups (I would guess 30 plus). Actually, I could do this like one of those seedy horoscopes: You are over 30 years old, you are either employed or trying to be employed, you have a strong moral stance (though you don't try to impose it on others), you enjoy sharing your ideas, you are active in the community in some way, you are either married or in a committed relationship, you have children (or treat some people as children), and you have ridden a motorcycle at some time in your life.

Anyway, just something to chuckle at in a week that didn't have much humor. As that old latin proverb says: Don't let the bastards get you down. Don't take this blog too seriously, as we are all human and prone to saying things that are, in hindsight, rather stupid and inane, though when we made them we felt bright and smart.

"For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?"

Bless you all, and may we live to see better days.

Thanks Jamie for that portrait of GW, as compared to this president. Who takes but a fleeting interest in the event which shook the nation last week, because it was not about him.

If investigation proves this was Hasan going postal, he will be tried in a military court and sentenced to death, which sentence will be carried out almost immediatly.

If investigation proves it was an act of terror, he will be relegated to federal court, and probably recieve life in prison at our expense, with group therapy and breaks five times a day for prayer and halil food, eventually to have his sentence over turned by some ambitious liberal lawyer in 2020.

bettyann is now the BlogPolice. I don't give a damn what 'outsiders' say or think. They don't like what I post, too bad. I'm not here to promote or sing the praises of anyone or thing.

bettyann, your words deny your claims. For some reason, you don't like MM; okay, fine, I don't expect, or want, everyone to like me. But I don't single them out (maybe until now) for criticism the way you have. You mock and jab and incite -- denying it makes it worse since it's in black and white on this blog.

so from now on I'm ignoring you. This is the last time I'll reply to your posts.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is most unfortunate in our time that persons cannot reason multi-dimensionally. Either something is black or it is white. One likes or dislikes, and when a brain cannot wrap itself around an idea with some depth, it is dismissed as black and bad, because of course one is white and good.

The idea here in the latest drama which I defended is that religion is private, and the preaching of it does not belong on this blog. Which was the real cause of MelenaX's departure. Her venom - humorous and missed - was being censured, dumbed down if you will, by admonitions to gentler, scripturally acceptable ways. True to character, she told MM to piss up a rope, and took her ball home.

And we should all care what readers think. You should care very much how you write. Writing is not the tapping out of many words, but of precise words, and the fewer the better.

I don't know MM, how can I "like" her or not? What I have said here has nothing to do with her person, but her writing. But, MRS, I'm glad that you won't reply anymore. Because as a woman that gives me the last word, and I do like that very much.

In case any of you feel in need of words of comfort as much as I do after that atrocious spectacle in the House of MISrepresentatives last night......

    WORDS OF COMFORT

    O Rest in the Lord
    (Elijah)

    O, rest in the Lord,
    Wait patiently for Him,
And He shall give thee they heart's desires:

    ***

    Commit thy way unto Him,
    And trust in Him;
    Commit thy way unto Him,
    And trust in Him,

    And fret not thyself
    Because of evil doers.

    O rest in the Lord,
    Wait patiently for Him,
    Wait patiently for Him.

  40. This morning I got a chance to see Congressman Joseph Cao (pronounced "Gow"). He is the "Republican" (read: RINO) who voted in favor of the Health Care Bill.

He was on Fox 'n Friends this morning. Gretchen (one of the hosts), asked him point blank "What did the President promise you in return for your vote".

Of course, he would only say that Obama promised to "keep working with his office on the recovery efforts" in New Orleans.

Bull DOOKEY! (as my daddy used to say).

He admitted that his office "has been in discussions with members of the Obama admin for weeks". WEEKS. So, for weeks, they dillie-dallied over the recovery efforts in New Orleans?

Why would the BO admin hesitate to agree to that? Helping the recovery efforts in New Orleans is a win-win situation for the admin. Because every time they announce another initiative effort for N.O., they get to get another dig in at Pres. Bush and pump up their African-American base, especially in New Orleans. You know, the "chocolate city" in the words of their crook of a mayor, Ray Nagin.

SO, with COW's vote, they got a double gift:

    1. they get to claim "bipartisan support" for the damnable Health Care bill...

    2. AND, they get to funnel more money into the New Orleans district to pay back Mr. COW for being a RINO and, as cover, use the excuse that they are "helping" New Orleans.

I think somebody needs to check Mr. Gao's freezer and see what's hidden there ....

Why doesn't the guy just go ahead and declare himself a Demoncrat and get it over with?

Seems like every couple of days another RINO exposes himself/herself. The Republican Party IS in trouble. The base is finding out that their donations/dues are going to support a lot more RINOS than they knew about.

All in the name of regaining "power".

    ReplyDelete
  41. Of course the Democrats LOVE him. This isn't the first time he has voted with the Dems.

    From Michelle Malkin's blog:
"since he was elected, Cao has backed the S-CHIP expansion, the $108 billion IMF bailout, and the omni-waste spending bill. And he voted to rebuke GOP Rep. Joe Wilson for calling out President Obama on his health care lies."

And, from a story on Politico:

    Cao Jolts the House:

=== .... he's a bit of a cult hero on the left — a profile in courage, Democrats say — and television bookers were scrambling to find cell phone numbers for his aides Sunday. ===

=== On health care, Cao met with the White House point person, Nancy-Ann DeParle, in his office and spoke to her repeatedly by phone during the past couple of months, according to an aide. President Barack Obama called him Saturday, giving Cao an opportunity to press the president to help with hospital development and forgiveness for disaster loans in New Orleans.

All along, Cao was looking for reasons to support the bill, according to spokeswoman Princella Smith. ===

He needed "reasons to support the bill", yet he claims

=== “I’ve always been focusing on making the right decisions for the people of my district, whether or not it will cost me my political future,” he told CNN on Sunday. ===

SO, I guess he considers destroying the current Health Care System in return for 'loan forgiveness' is best for his district? What is he going to say to the people in his district when the tax hikes, Medicare cuts, etc, start showing up?

    link - http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20091108/pl_politico/29299

Side note: I was wrong about the National Party supporting him last year. According to this Politico article, he received "no national party support".

  42. Truth, the quote about neighbors comes from an English three-part novel (the kind made fun of in The Importance of Being Earnest).

"What then do we live for, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn."

This is from Pride and Prejudice (1813), by Jane Austen. My husband would never read the book, but seemed to enjoy the movie (A&E, 1996), as it is filled with some very nice quotes about love and marriage (and the following quote caused him to laugh until he couldn't take a breath).

"Happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance. If the dispositions of the parties are ever so well known to each other or ever so similar beforehand, it does not advance their felicity in the least. They always continue to grow sufficiently unlike afterwards to have their share of vexation; and it is better to know as little as possible of the defects of the person with whom you are to pass your life."

    ******

To add to my horoscope from above: You will have a tall dark man intrude into your life, and the lives of all your acquaintances. He will invade your waking life, appearing on television and magazines. Life will seem unbearable, as he reaches to control all parts of your life.

On the brighter side, you will get to sleep in two days in a row on the coming weekend.

    ******

Since I'm in a quoting mode, here is another one, slightly modified.

Together, my lord Obama, we shall rule this Middle-America. The old world will burn in the fires of environmentalism. Power plants will fall. A new order will rise. We will drive the machine of global warming with the rhetoric and the laws and the iron fist of the RINO's.

    ******

Bless you all, FOT's. And God Bless all Americans. We're a big fussy family that can't agree on anything, and I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, if everyone agreed with me, who would I have to argue with? hehe

  43. Bettyann, MM, MRS, why can't we all just get along? The left wants to divide us so our side will be weaker.

I am a Protestant Christian, but I can come together with people who believe in a higher power that isn't necessarily the Christian God, and with people who aren't religious at all. As long as you think religion and faith have a place in this country and you don't bash my religion, I can join with you on the Conservative principles that we do agree on.

As for certain FOTs being stereotypes, a lot of Libtards will think all Conservatives are like that, no matter what we say. I stopped caring what they thought a year and a half ago.

And shouldn't TOTUS be the one who decides what does or doesn't belong on this blog?

Eh, I'm probably gonna regret putting my oar into this drama. I'm trying to smooth things over, not stir things up.

And how about Sir Hillary and BO trying to turn the event into being all about HIM? "Obama was made history, blah, blah, blah..." The event had NOTHING to do with BHO and everything to do with the fall of Communism.

Here is some breaking news about the Ft. Hood TERRORIST attack:

=== Officials: U.S. Aware of Hasan Efforts to Contact al Qaeda

Army Major in Fort Hood Massacre Used 'Electronic Means' to Connect with Terrorists

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News. ===

    Now, this begs the question:

Did the CIA ever bother to inform the ARMY of this?

And what's with General Casey saying this:

"“What happened at Fort Hood is a tragedy and I believe it would be a greater tragedy if diversity became a casualty here."

WHAT? He is more worried about the diversity of the army than in the loss of life?

General Casey owes the victims and their families an apology for saying that. NOTHING is a greater tragedy than the loss of lives and the injury of dozens from this terrorist attack.

And of course, my ver word was "deride".

How dare the General "deride" the worth of those brave men and women who were attacked at Fort Hood.

  49. Gen. Casey is just another Liberal idiot infesting the ranks of the Military; this is why BObastard knows he can command the Military to send troops against Americans who oppose him and the Generals give the orders.

Now, whether or not the troops themselves obey, is another question.

    ReplyDelete
  50. In the constitution somewhere it states that federal troops cannot be used against citizens. That is the job of the National Gaurd, but the president must go through a governor for that, as the military oath for the guard is sworn to the governor. National Gaurd troops also cover disaster relief. Another proctection our founding fathers gave us.

  51. and of course the bastard will obey the Constitution.

they're going to put you in jail if you don't buy health insurance, and you think the Constitution matters to that bastard?

also, he is forming his own 'civilian army, beeter trained and funded than the US Military'; what do you think that means?

Liberal America-haters don't obey the Laws or Constitution.

I fear for our country and its citizens more than ever.

  54. I received this news in an email:

Federal Judge David Carter sets Trial Date for Obama's Eligibility.

The expedited trial has been set for Jan. 26, 2010!

Many concerned veterans and citizens attended the hearing in Federal Court in Santa Ana in the lawsuit against Barack Obama to determine his eligibility to be President and Commander in Chief. About 150 people showed up, almost all in support of the lawsuit to demand that Obama release his birth certificate and other records that he has hidden from the American people.

Judge David Carter refused to hear Obama's request for dismissal. He indicated there was almost no chance that this case would be dismissed. Obama is arguing this lawsuit was filed in the wrong court if you can believe that. Obama would prefer a "kangaroo court" instead of a Federal court! Assuming Judge Carter denies Obama's motion for dismissal, he will likely then order expedited discovery which will force Obama to release his birth certificate in a timely manner (if he has one).

The judge, WHO IS A FORMER U.S. MARINE, repeated several times that this is A VERY SERIOUS CASE which must be resolved quickly so that the troops know that their Commander in Chief is eligible to hold that position and issue lawful orders to our military in this time of war. He basically said OBAMA MUST PROVE HIS ELIGIBILITY to the court! He said Americans deserve to know the truth about their President!

It's on all kinds of blogs, too.

    there would be another election.

  57. Frankly, I don't hold out a lot of hope, but it cheers me that this court case is probably causing lots of sleepless nights for BO.

I just heard on Fox that Hasan will be tried in a MILITARY court, with a jury of his MILITARY peers.

Maybe those who perished will get true justice as a result.

I would hate to think of him getting away with it because of a jury full of bleeding heart liberals or having a liberal judge giving him some lenient sentence!

More encouraging news - the Supremes refused to stay the execution of the D.C. sniper. He will be executed by lethal injection tomorrow night. "Put to sleep", just like the mad dog that he is.

My word this time - undlessh

Undlessh the Hounds of Hell and put the dog out of his misery. Let justice be done.

  58. that piece of cowardly s*** has no peers at Ft. Hood; give him the firing squad, with female execution squad.

    "Diverse Army" ; screw that; and screw the BObastard, too; NO MUSLIMS IN THE MILILTARY;

NO MUSLIMS IN AMERICA! send them back to the Middle East and let Islam die there. We don't want their death-dealing false god among us.

    ReplyDelete
  59. You're right, FOTs: the MSM is busy excusing this sicko, saying Islam had zilch to do with his murders. It'll be GW's fault soon.

    Another Muslim problem:
A friend just sent me photos of some of the 450 refugee men who were in a mass wedding in Gaza during early August. They were given money and suits by Hamas----and were each holding hands with a young girl. ACK! The girls were wearing what LOOKED like wedding dresses, veils, and gloves----and were holding bouquets also given by Hamas.

The photos were accompanied by a string of quotes from the Qu'ran, and by Ayatolla Khomeni, who once wrote (brace yourselves):

"A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate; sodomizing the child is OK. If a man penetrates and damages the child, then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however, does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister. . . It is better for a girl to marry in such a time when she would begin menstruation at her husband's house rather than her father's house. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven."
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Tahrirolvasyleh, volume 4 (Gom, Iran: Darol Elm, 1990), p. 186.

What *&#^@&$)%&! "IF... a man... damages" the girl!?

So I checked to locate an URL to cite here, and found that Hamas says the girls weren't brides, but were "cousins" who were "flower girls," etc. But NO other females were dressed as brides, said witnesses----and NO one else stood with the grooms.

I believe the witnesses and the photos.

  60. [MRS] "female execution squad" YES.
    "READY.... AIM........FIRE!!!"

Reminds me of when Jael pinned Canaanite army commander Sisera's skull to the ground with a tent peg. [Judges 4:21] In the iron age, that a woman killed him was considered to be extra-humiliating. [See, e.g., Judges 9:53, 54, "A woman dropped an upper millstone on [Abimelech's] head and cracked his skull. Hurriedly he called to his armor-bearer, 'Draw your sword and kill me, so that they can't say, "A woman killed him."'... ."]

MUSLIM Malik Hasan, with the iron age mentality taught BY THE KORAN, should be treated in a manner fitting his station.

    ********************************
Janice, thanks for the reference for that delightful Jane Austen quote. You have fantastic recall -- I've read that wonderful book (and seen several movie versions) more than once and couldn't tell you a single line.

All my favourite ;) authors are English. It seems to run in their genes.

"May there always be an England" (an old song).

Sadly, now, like the leprechauns in Ireland, the true English seem to have gone mainly underground. They have almost completely succumbed to soul starvation after years of feeding off the gray gruel of socialism.

    TO WIT:

Last Saturday night, I attempted to post the following comment in the London Times online re: their article about the female police officer who took down Hasan:

(paraph.) TWW said: "When a MUSLIM fires his weapon into a crowd of "infidels" immediately after yelling, "Allahu akbar," B. Hussein can't come to the conclusion that this was an act of terrorism.

Before knowing the facts, however, B. Hussein quickly decided that the Cambridge, Mass. police "acted stupidly."

They refused to publish it. They gave no explanation.

England/Great Britain has become SO PUTRIDLY "PC," though, that it's probably because they didn't want to offend the followers of the same vile "religion" that taught Hasan to murder his fellow United States Army soldiers.

At least in the United States of America (until the General Caseys of the world take over) we can still (for now!) say it like it is.

Which is......... that a MARXIST MUSLIM FROM INDONESIA BORN IN KENYA lied his way into the White House.

Great news, Jamie! That was so encouraging to read about: 1) Complaint will not be dismissed re: D'oh!'s "natural born U.S. citizen" problem; 2) D.C. murderer will be given justice; AND 3) Hasan will face a military tribunal.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

  61. Hi, there, Janice! Thank you for your timely comment far above: very fair and balanced.
    ;->

I'm also glad you enjoy Jane Austen, too. I love the old movie version of "Pride and Prejudice" also, with Greer Garson; it was on TMC just last week. Your quote was spoken by Charlotte, the best friend of the main character, Elizabeth. Can we assume she quietly regretted getting quickly married to that boor, Elizabeth's cousin?

Sorry the London Times refused to publish your letter, TWW. Maybe they'd send it if you used another name for B. Hussein?----although we understand why you used THAT name.

I cracked up watching again the SNL caricatures of Fox News reporters. Greta van Susteran was pretty jovial about being parodied, but O'Reilly seemed wistful that he was ignored by SNL.

    ReplyDelete
  64. O'Reilly's a schmuck.

If there were a fence-jumping event in the Olympics, he'd win the gold medal.

He jumps back and forth over that fence so fast he's just a blur.

    ReplyDelete
  65. GOOD one, TWW! It's back and forth, just like BO's swingin' head: "Read TOTUS' scrolling, GLARE nobly, swing head, REPEAT!"

And you are correct, too, Mrs! Most Fox News pundits also ignore Sarah Palin; O'Reilly barely noted that PALIN WON (yippee!) his phone-in poll of "Best Republican Presidential Candidate to Beat Obama," over Huckabee, Romney, and "Tim-Paw" (who always growls when he speaks: ack!).
Just wait until her book comes out next week! Even Hannity (who's seems in the tank for Romney) said he couldn't put it down.

I just found this on Drudge: Bruno, our Homeland Security Secretary, was in Abu Dhabi yesterday, of all places. Great: the United Arab Emirates got her attention. I sure hope she hauls it back HERE soon, to deal with the Fort Hood shooting!

Worse, there she was, DISSING Americans by talking about how she's "working to prevent anti-Muslim sentiment" in the USA, resulting from the Fort Hood shooting.

Now lemme get this straight: at the same time that the MSM is DISCOUNTING any reports that Nutjob-Shooter Hasan's Muslim faith had a THING to do with his shootings----ignoring of course his screaming, "Allah Akbar!" as he fires (excellent point, my dear TWW!)----our very own Homeland chief IS making the connection between his faith and his murders! Do these people ever think?!

And she's afraid that normal patriotic Americans are endangering MUSLIMS? Is she deluded or what?! WHEN have any Americans ever shot up Muslim Americans?
    That would be: never.

The AP report----true to liberal form----characterized the shooter as "Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan," "a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."

No, it's the MSM that expresses "dismay" about the wars. But NEVER should contacting al Qa'eda or murdering people (which Hasan did) be characterized as merely "expressing dismay!"

Lord, these liberals won't even LISTEN to the very words these Muslims SAY about their murderous beliefs!

You know what's even worse? How completely suicidal many liberals in ISRAEL are! They don't even want Netanyahu to do a THING about Iran----and they keep wanting to give up more and more land that's crucial to their own security. What!? Do they think they can talk sense to I'm-a-Nut-Job!?

    Oh wait.
    That's what OUR "President" thinks....

I swear, the whole world is turning upside down.

    ReplyDelete
  66. OMG! The "Gregalogue" in "Red Eye" is all OVER this stupid "work" of Bruno's, to "prevent" Americans from lashing back at American Muslims!

Yet (as Greg pointed out) our government admitted today that Hasan had contacted an al Qa'eda contact over 20 times this past year!

Again, it's an upside down world.

    Deutsch1: Vas is los?!

D2: THAT is "The Magic Negro" [L.A. Times, 2008].

D1: Noooo. Really? Sure looks different.... guess he made that video not long before he died.....just before he died from the looks of him. Michael Jahksone, no? What was his job again?

D2: Not Michael...., no, this guy's name is Peach. Peach Johnson, maybe. Well, anyway, from what I've seen of him, I'm pretty sure he's King Saud's head servant. Know that from the bow he made to him in London.

D1: I heard he lives in Washington, D.C., in the White House. How can he serve Herr Saud from there?

D2: Don't know. Maybe he's just there as Saud's ambassador. Kills flies. Makes sure the King's mad sister doesn't get into trouble (her name is, I think, Munchel). Probably gets a phone call once in awhile to go do something like have Saks send him a couple dozen shirts and stuff like that. Probably tastes the King's food for him.

D1 [laughing hard]: He is so funny. Did you hear that? He acts like he thinks he's the president or something with that nose in the air ..... why does he keep glancing left ... then right... then... left...right...left.... is he about to cross a street?

D2: Naaa. I heard he has a hard time deciding what to do.... probably trying to choose between coleslaw and mashed potatoes. So, who is president of the United States now anyway?

D1[scratches nose]: ........hmmm. Well, I think it's some old coal miner or a train engineer. Or, come to think of it, some kind of insurance salesman. I think his name's Scranton or, no -- Neal Kinnock, that's it. [nods confidently] Apparently, he puts up with a lot of guff from Peach, there, because it's just a lot easier if Peach thinks he's the real president.

D2: Really. That must be sort of a pain, having a servant acting so arrogant and self-important.

D1: Maybe, but the guys who run the show just humor him and give him little "important" jobs to do to keep him out of their hair while they carry out their program.

    D2: Jobs like what?

D1: Oh..... well... like making little speeches and... travelling around all the time.... and trying to persuade people to do things....grinning a lot.......

    D2: Oh, he's a salesman.

D1: Yeah, that's it. And he's a REAL dumkopf. Has to read EVERYTHING. Every time he tries to talk like a regular person, he messes up. Makes up words. Makes up numbers.... Last weekend, he even talked to someone who wasn't even there, some Indian Joe, or something.

D2: Oh, yeah. And remember him saying he couldn't speak in "Austrian?" And he was SERIOUS when he TOLD Chancellor Merkel that she speaks German better than he. WHAT AN IGNORAMUS.

    ReplyDelete
  68. D1: So, who's really running things over there? Not that old coal miner?

D2: No [chuckle]. No, it's a sort of an unterwaffe, a uh, hidden wing.... like......

    D1: Like the Gestapo, eh?

    D2: Like the Gestapo.

D1: So..... this Peach, he's like Hitler, then, no?

D2: No. He'd LIKE to be another Hitler (hates Jews). No, the purple-lipped wunderschnitzel is more like Lenin's body, you know, how it is in Moscow? Where all those "useful idiots" file past day after day, worshipping him. When glasnost opened that small fissure in the ice of totalitarianism for about 3 days back in 1990, those on the side of liberty wanted to free those in the Cult of Lenin from bondage by burying his body once and for all. Communist leaders like Putin wouldn't let them.

A symbolic, a "magic" man, sort of a martyr, is highly useful to their cause. Any disagreement with their brutal policies is to break faith with, to betray, to denigrate their messiah.

    D1: D2?

    D2: What?

D1: This nincompoop is making me sick. I'd rather visit the Hitler museum. Let's go have a beer.

D2: Sounds gut! Wiedersehn, Dumkopf Obama. Du bist ein schwein.

  69. Sarah is going to appear on Hannity soon. Maybe next week? Sean announced it one night on his show. Said it would be a 3-parter, shown over three nights. I'm pretty sure it was Sean who said it, but I'll verify.

Last night on Bill O' (I actually watched the Steelers game last night, saw the Bill O' rerun this morning at 4 am) he had a segment with Bernie Goldberg. They were talking about an L.A. Times article about an "un-named Democrat strategist" who claims that after he appeared on a Fox News show, someone from the White House (also un-named) called and told him that if he "appeared again on Fox News that they would never use him again".

Bill and Bernie both said that this story probably wasn't true because "even though un-named, the WH knows who he is".

But that is assuming that the WH has only called this ONE person and threatened them. It might just be that the WH has called any and all Dem strategists who have appeared on Fox and have threatened them.

Fox has a LOT of Dem strategists appear regularly on their shows: Bob Beckel, Doug Shoen, Susan Estrich, Kirsten whats-her-name, just to name a few. And not all of them are sympathetic to BHO's policies. (Doug Shoen is particularly critical of the admin).

    ================================
Great posts, all. Sorry I missed the conversation. I had to watch the Steelers game. Its my son's most favorite team and I promised to watch and pull for them. They WON! It was a really good game, too, so I enjoyed it.

  70. Speaking of Sarah Palin and Bill O'. Last Thursday, Laura Ingraham hosted Bill's show. I missed it, but I came across a transcript of a show segment, where Kelly Ann Conway and Sally Quinn were on to talk about Palin. I wished I had seen it. Here is a part that I really liked:

They were sharing their ideas as to why "feminists" disliked Sarah -

=== QUINN: But my feeling is just that people just don't agree with her. And you know, the irony here…

INGRAHAM: Well, the public doesn't really have much of a problem. Sixty-four percent say she's a good role model for women.

    QUINN: Right.

INGRAHAM: Fifty-five percent, according to the CNN poll, say she's honest and trustworthy. And, you know, I think most people, the jury's out on whether she's, you know, nationally going to be a force politically. But the other stuff, people kind of like her.

QUINN: Well, I think that in general, the public is feminists. I think most women and most men today are feminists and that they believe in equality for women. And certainly she does. And certainly her family does. So I think all of that is makes sense. I think the irony here is that the criticism, so much of the criticism you're talking about, you know, having the governorship and trying to raise all these children, a Down Syndrome baby, those — the people who normally would be anti-that are her base. These are the Christian right, who believe that a woman's place is in the home. And that criticism I've heard for her and sort of taking on this job with all these children and the Down Syndrome baby of three months and the pregnant daughter was that maybe she should have stayed home at this particular time.

INGRAHAM: But if a conservative guy had told a liberal woman to stay home and take care of the kids, I'm sure Maureen Dowd, Sally Quinn, and the whole elite Washington journalistic establishment would have been down their throats. You don't tell this woman what to do. I imagine you would.

CONWAY: Actually, Sally wrote a piece about that. Sally wrote a piece called, "Palin's Pregnancy Problem." It was kind of mean and it ended up being untrue, that the base did not leave Sarah Palin because her daughter Bristol was going to have this child out of wedlock. The whole crisis pregnancy culture is to embrace young girls who have unexpected pregnancies. ===

Kelly Ann is correct, Sally Quinn is WRONG. The criticism about Sarah working when she had school-age children at home, one of whom is a Down-Syndrome child and another of whom was an unmarried, pregnant teen, came from the LEFT. It did not come from her supporters on the right. I'm glad that Kelly Ann called out Quinn on that.

Here is a link if you want to read the whole transcript -

Good that he will be tried in a military court. They wuill hang him with piano wire, and then wrap his carcass in pig skin and hang him out to dry. That will bring the other Islamic roaches out of hiding, so we can hunt them down, too.

Supporting Sarah, thankfully, are Glenn, Rush, Cheney, and Karl Rove. WOW!

  73. Wrapping him in pig skin would be a great insult. Muslim grocery clerks refuse to even TOUCH packaged pork products that are being purchased by store patrons.

They say that Hasan is awake and talking, but when investigators tried to interview him over the weekend, he immediately requested his right to an attorney. So much for him suffering from some kind of psychosis. He seems pretty congnizant of what he did and how to protect himself from prosecution. Most crazed, psychotic mass murderers don't immediately ask for an attorney ....

Makes me wonder if the "Handbook for Terrorist Suicide Bombers" covers what to do if you don't succeed in your suicide mission and you are caught?

"If your mission is in on U.S. soil and you fail to kill yourself and are caught alive, immediately demand an attorney so that you can begin the process of manipulating the American Justice system to your advantage."
    ====================================

Here is a weird article that I linked to from Drudge this morning (its on CBS):

=== Justice Dept. Asked For News Site's Visitor Lists

In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.

The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site "not to disclose the existence of this request" unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization. ===

=== The subpoena (PDF) from U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison in Indianapolis demanded "all IP traffic to and from www.indymedia.us" on June 25, 2008. It instructed Clair to "include IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information," including e-mail addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers' Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and so on. ===

After the group hired a lawyer, the subpoena was withdrawn.

=== Morrison replied in a one-sentence letter saying the subpoena had been withdrawn. Around the same time, according to the EFF, the group had a series of discussions with assistant U.S. attorneys in Morrison's office who threatened Clair with possible prosecution for obstruction of justice if she disclosed the existence of the already-withdrawn subpoena -- claiming it "may endanger someone's health" and would have a "human cost." ===

"endanger someone's health" ... "human cost"???

Sounds strange. Who is this "someone"?

The article says that the group's mission statement says that it "works toward promoting social and economic justice" may explain a lot. Exactly the kind of group that would be posting in support of the Obama admin.

Could that be why it was withdrawn? The date for which they were seeking information was in July of 2008, during the runup to the Pres election. Is this just another federal investigation that was quashed by the Attorney General, like the Black Panther voter harrassment case that was dropped?
