If It's Sunday ... It's Time to Sleep In

Given that some of you may be church-going folk, I thought Sunday might be a good time to address the controversy from last week at Georgetown, where the White House asked the school to obscure a symbol of Jesus Christ that was in the background of the room where Big Guy spoke.

A lot of people have misconstrued the request to cover the "IHS" symbol that would have been over Big Guy's head during the speech.  It wasn't that he was anti-religious.  He just didn't want to confuse all of you. Big Guy is the messiah, but he's not the Messiah ... at least not yet.  I think.  Anyway, one messiah in a room at one time is enough, don't you think?  Two would have just been overkill.

  1. IHS = I Heart Socialism. I went to Catholic schools for 17 years. Their grasp of economics is Obama-esque. But then why cover it up?

  2. Obama's followers wouldn't know which image to fall down and worship when they saw him speaking! They are still waiting for him to walk on water......

  5. For a second I thought Barry was putting a finger up to see which way the political wind was blowing.

  7. I'm surprised there was enough room in the hall for President Obama's head. His head would have hidden it, regardless.

  8. TOTUS, I wonder if Big Guy is really the messiah, or just the Antichrist. My bet's on the latter.

  9. IHS = a miscopying of "ies" in caps = contraction of the Greek word for "Jesus."

BO avoids suffering, much less for others, as Jesus did. Remember? BO whined about his tough campaign schedule!

No, Barak wanted those letters covered up so the focus would be only on HIM, not distracted by references to Jesus.

After all, Jesus delivered the most brilliant speeches ever spoken----and He did so without teleprompters, speech writers, media consultants, designer suits, and adoring press.

    BO is jealous....

  10. aoolda, You should know that the only time that Barry puts his finger up, it is for us, the US taxpayers. He even has his own special finger, used just for us.

    I agree with Mountain Mama!!!!

Barak goes out of his way to not make "religious references" to Jesus Christ, because after all, according to him, we are not a "Christian nation".
Mr. Obama needs to take a look at what this country was founded on (The WORD of GOD. Then maybe just maybe he will finally see that America WAS founded on the truth of Christ. We are a Christian nation..although people who have similar views as him are causing us to become an increasingly post-Christian nation. That is sad! History repeats itself, my friends! Take a look back and you will see that many nations that were once great [Rome for instance], FELL and crumbled after the reached the depths of moral depravity and followed philosophy that no longer recognized the sanctity of human life. Very simlar to America. We murder thousands of unborn children a day and call it freedom of choice [the choice is murder or let live], we ignore the laws of God and try to take Him out of everything we possibly can. We have cursed Him and deny Him. And we think we can make it on our own as a nation without Him??? NO WAY, PEOPLE!!! What we are beginning to see with the financial meltdown, the housing crisis, and the stock market failing isn't a political issue...it is God's judgment on America.

  12. Since I initially discovered your website, I've been reading it. I assumed I'd be the first to speak up. I don't know what more to say except that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This is an excellent website.
